Eve’s Take on International Women’s Day 2021 – Ingrid
In honor of #InternationalWomensDay today, March 8th 2021, we will be introducing you to some of our amazing team members at Eve & Co. and getting their take on International Women’s Day. Each day this week, you will get to know more about our incredible team, and what makes us unique in the Canadian cannabis space!
Today we introduce you to Ingrid, who is our Logistics Coordinator!
Please tell us about your role at Eve & Co.
I’m a Logistics Coordinator, I kind of jump in where I’m needed; but my main job is to assure that items are shipped out when and where they are supposed to.
The theme for IWD 2021 is “Choose to Challenge”, what do you choose to challenge?
I choose to challenge the importance of self-care. Putting ‘me time’ on the Back burner is a big part of why we can all feel run-down, tired and overwhelmed. Enter self-care, who cuddles you and tells you everything is alright. Don’t feel judged when putting yourself as the number one priority. Self-care is not just getting spoiled but can also mean getting back to the old you and getting energy from the things you like to do by yourself and/or with friends/family/team players etc.
Who is one of your role models?
I think it’s important to make yourself a role model!
What does it mean to empower women to you?
We always need to support one another and not compare ourselves to other women.
If you could leave one piece of advice, a quote or a message to woman-kind, what would it be?
An original is worth more than a copy. A flower does not think of competing to the flower next to it, it just blooms.
