Eve’s Take on International Women’s Day 2021 – Amanda

Meet Amanda, The Harvest Team Lead here at Eve & Co.

Please tell us about your role at Eve & Co.

I am a harvest team lead, I coordinate harvest and assure we have the best possible product we can by picking delicately and respecting the plant.

The theme for IWD 2021 is “Choose to Challenge”, what do you choose to challenge?

I choose to challenge unrealistic body characteristics of women that the media has created.

Who is one of your role models?

Rebel Wilson, not only is she is hilarious, but she also is body positive and proves you don’t need to be tiny to be beautiful and powerful.

What does it mean to empower women to you?

Being comfortable in your own skin and assuring people around you are as well. It’s important to not bring anyone down, it builds integrity to lift each other up.

If you could leave one piece of advice, a quote or a message to woman-kind, what would it be?

I have two! Life sucks, wear a helmet.  And, my favourite quote by Rebel Wilson, “Work hard to achieve integrity in you work and your relationships with the people you work with”. Basically, say what you do and do what you say, and we’ll get along.
